There are many variations of this text, each with its own melody. Though the music varies, each version reflects the bright faith and unconditional love of a child learning to recognize and worship the Savior of the World when he first appeared as a tiny baby, born in Bethlehem. Quoting from several of the most familiar tunes, this setting creates a rich harmonic texture to adorn William Kirkpatrick’s melody and the anonymous text as found in the LDS Hymnal (HYMNS, 1985).

  2. I like this arrangement but I don’t hear a cello part. Our music library has a copy of ‘Away In a Manger’ SATB, cello & piano.William J. Kirkpatrick, arr. Steven Smith (2001,2011 Soundsmith Music). There are plenty of copies for voices but I need the piano and cello accompaniments. Can you help?
